Battersea Reach
Interested in renting property in Battersea Reach? Find out if living in Battersea Reach is for you from our handy guide
If you want an exclusive apartment with panoramic views of the river Thames, don’t miss this stunning development when you’re searching for Battersea property to rent.
Battersea Reach is now a familiar London landmark, instantly identified by its four distinctively shaped, high-rise blocks that appear to cascade down towards the water. The towers’ sloping design provides a series of magnificent terraces overlooking the river.
With underground parking and green, landscaped spaces, this 13.3 acre development has transformed an ugly industrial site that previously housed a gin distillery, an oil depot and warehouses. The buildings were demolished in 1992; in 2002 master property developer St George began construction on a mixed development of homes and office space.
The site continues to expand and spring 2018 will see the opening of two new high-rise towers. Meridian House and Nautical House will not only provide more homes (including a £10m+ triplex penthouse with private glass lift, bar and concierge), it will also provide 10,500 square feet of new offices, shops and restaurants.
When complete, this exclusive development will offer 1,341 homes plus 194,000 square feet of commercial space and seven acres of public open space, including a new park with meadow planting to support native species of birds and insects.

Shopping and Leisure
Living here you’ll not only enjoy great river views, you’ll be just a short walk away from Wandsworth’s town centre shopping (Southside Shopping Centre) and the characterful shops, pubs and cafés that cluster around Old York Road. Alternatively, you can pop across the river and enjoy all the sophisticated shopping and dining experiences that Fulham and Chelsea have to offer.
Of course, you may prefer to stay at home, as Battersea Reach is fast becoming a destination in its own right. Attractions include an award-winning tidalwalk that uses the latest ecological methods to encourage wildlife, including natural meadow planting, nesting boxes and roosting posts for wild birds. There are excellent restaurants and cafes, such as Cake Boy French Patisserie, Edible Kitchen and the popular Young’s Waterfront Bar and Restaurant – a great place to sit with a drink and watch the river’s ebb and flow. There’s also a convenience store, a beauty salon, a health clinic, a nursery and two gyms.
Transport connections
Wandsworth Town rail station, which offers a direct, 15-minute journey to Waterloo, is only a few minutes’ walk from Battersea Reach. It’s also just one stop to Clapham Junction, where you can connect with fast national rail services to Victoria and London Bridge. Overground services from here extend to north east and north west London as well as the southern and western suburbs.
From nearby York Road you can catch a number of buses. Services 295, C3, 44 and N44 will take you to Clapham Junction, Victoria, Chelsea Harbour, Earlsfield and Fulham. The number 28 goes north from Wandsworth town to Camden Town via Kensington.
Finding the right school
There are three state primary schools rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted within half a mile of Battersea Reach (St Faith’s C of E, High View Primary and Falconbrook Primary), while the fee-paying primary St Thomas’ Fulham has been rated ‘Outstanding’. State secondary schools within one mile include the Bolingbroke Academy (rated ‘Good’) and Chelsea Academy (rated ‘Outstanding’).
